  • The great economic challenge of AI is not whether it will create wealth. It is whether we can create the mechanisms that allow the redistribution of wealth and prosperity.

Our Inclusive Prosperity initiative can play a practical role: identifying, financing and helping scale companies whose technologies or ownership models allow a broader part of society to participate in the economic value created by AI and robotics.

An investment fund for AI adoption, workforce skills, and shared ownership

    THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE

AI will create major productivity gains, but it may also reduce the number of people required for certain types of work. Most current responses focus on retraining, social policy, compensation, or research into future labour-market effects.

AEQUITY starts from a different principle: if AI transforms labour into capital, the workers affected by that transformation should have the opportunity to become owners of capital.

    THE FUND

AEQUITY is being developed as an investment fund that will raise capital from conventional investors and AI hyperscalers, and deploy it across two complementary categories:

40% in AI Adopter Companies — smaller companies, typically 50–300 employees, already implementing AI in their operations.

60% in Skills Companies — companies providing AI education, training, and reskilling. The larger allocation reflects the volume of workers who will need to move into new roles as adoption accelerates.

    WORKERS

Retained workers are employees who remain with an Adopter Company through its AI transition. AEQUITY will encourage these companies to provide meaningful employee option plans, while leaving the structure and allocation to each company.

Non-Retained workers are employees whose positions disappear following AI adoption. They become eligible for options in a separate AEQUITY Participation Vehicle, capitalised independently from the main fund and invested across the AI economy. Major AI companies could participate in capitalising this vehicle.

This is not severance, a productivity bonus, or guaranteed compensation — it is equity participation.

    THE SKILLS COMPANIES CONNECTION

AEQUITY will preferentially invest in Skills Companies willing to make their services commercially available to its Adopter Companies. This creates a self-reinforcing loop: AI adoption creates demand for skills, Skills Companies meet that demand, and AEQUITY invests in both sides of the transition — capturing value from adoption while funding the reskilling it requires.

    RESEARCH

Potential investments are identified and researched through our research platform, Synopedia. An initial group of candidate Adopter and Skills Companies is currently being screened.

    WHY THIS MATTERS

Most AI companies study the transition and support training. AEQUITY proposes an investment mechanism through which workers can also acquire ownership of the economic value created by the transition.

The idea is simple: don't wait to redistribute value after AI disruption — broaden ownership before the value is created.
